Message of Good Wishes. On the Launch of the WCC Veterans Website.

While scorecards and statistics capture cricket's outcomes, the game's true history lives in its players, venues, friendships, and personal memories.

I am pleased to learn about the WCC Veterans website initiative. The story of friends united by cricket at the Wadakkancherry ground deserves careful documentation and preservation.

This website offers an opportunity to create a reliable community cricket archive. It can document the association’s origins, founding members, memorable matches, photographs, personal stories, articles, and key milestones. By verifying and contextualising names, dates, images, and events, the archive will remain valuable for years to come.

Congratulations to Founder and President Kannan, the founding members, and all involved in this important project. I hope the website preserves the WCC Veterans' heritage with care and accuracy, and further strengthens the bonds among its members.

My warm greetings and best wishes to the entire WCC Veterans family.

With warm regards, Mohandas Menon. Cricket Statistician, BCCI TV. Former Official Cricket Statistician, BCCI.

Greetings and Best Wishes.

It is a pleasure to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to the members of Wadakkancherry Cricket Club Veterans on the creation of your website.

A platform such as this is far more than a collection of pages. It is a meaningful way to preserve the legacy of a cricketing community, celebrate lasting friendships, and keep alive the memories of players, matches and shared experiences that have shaped your journey over the years.

What makes this initiative especially valuable is its ability to connect generations. By bringing together memories, photographs and stories, the WCC Veterans website will stand as a tribute to those who contributed to the club’s rich tradition, while also inspiring younger cricket lovers to appreciate the values of commitment, sportsmanship and camaraderie.

I congratulate everyone who has contributed to this thoughtful effort. I am confident that this website will become a source of pride for all associated with WCC Veterans and a lasting record of Wadakkancherry’s cricketing heritage.

My heartfelt good wishes to all members of WCC Veterans for the continued success of this initiative and for many more years of friendship, fellowship and fond cricketing memories.

With warm regards, Jayesh George.

Warm Wishes to WCC Veterans.

It gives me immense pleasure to convey my warm wishes to WCC Veterans and to everyone associated with this wonderful initiative.

Those of us connected with club cricket know that the strength of the game does not come from major tournaments alone. It begins on local grounds—with practice sessions, weekend matches, friendly rivalries, committed organisers, enthusiastic supporters and players who turn up simply because they love cricket.

Over the years, these experiences create something far greater than a team. They create a community.

It is wonderful to see the members of WCC Veterans continuing that spirit even after their active playing years. Remaining connected through cricket, renewing old friendships and coming together once again as a group is perhaps one of the finest rewards the game can offer.

The WCC Veterans website gives this continuing relationship a new home. I hope it becomes a place where members enjoy meeting one another again, share their experiences, celebrate memorable occasions and keep the enthusiasm for cricket alive.

More importantly, I hope the fellowship among WCC Veterans encourages today’s players to recognise that cricket is not only about individual performance or victory. The respect we earn, the friendships we build and the contribution we make to the game are equally important.

I warmly congratulate everyone who has worked to bring this initiative together.

May WCC Veterans continue to enjoy many more years of cricketing friendship, togetherness and memorable moments.

With warm regards, Sabi John.
